GESTATION LEAD

Are you ready to take the next step in your swine production career?

 

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Gestation Leads to join progressive sow farm operations across multiple Midwest locations. These positions offer the opportunity to lead employees, improve production results, and play a key role in achieving farm goals related to productivity, efficiency, and animal care.

 

The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, developing employees, and leading by example while maintaining high standards for animal welfare, biosecurity, and production excellence.

THE ROLE

  • Train and develop employees on production protocols and company procedures

  • Monitor daily production activities and ensure proper animal husbandry practices

  • Assign and manage daily tasks to achieve production goals

  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation

  • Communicate daily production, health, facility, and employee updates with farm management

  • Monitor ventilation systems and environmental controls

  • Support facility cleanliness, organization, and preventative maintenance

  • Promote and uphold safety, biosecurity, and animal welfare standards

  • Help develop team members and strengthen overall farm performance

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • 2+ years of livestock experience required

  • Swine production experience preferred

  • Previous leadership or team lead experience is a plus

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to train, mentor, and hold employees accountable

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work weekends

  • Reliable transportation required
